fineerbedrijf (1920), machinist in fabriek (1930), oprichter E & R Sales Company (1930), verkoper van geluidsapparatuur en "coin-operated machines", woonde te Jacksonville, Florida (1935), te
Grand Rapids (1937, 1940), reisde in 1953 per KLM van Prestwick naar New York, overleden na een langdurige ziekte in Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids op 14 november 1967, oud 73 jaar,
begraven op Rosedale Memorial Park.
Gehuwd te Grand Rapids, Kent County, MI, USA op 21 augustus 1919 met
geboren te Grand Rapids in 1892, overleden op 29 juli 1969, oud ca. 77 jaar, dochter
van William Vandermale en [N.N.] van Duren.
Edward liet bij zijn overlijden vijf kleinkinderen na.

Op heden den 16den februari 1894, is voor ons ondergeteekende Ambtenaar van den Burgerlijken Stand der stad Utrecht, in het Huis der Gemeente, verschenen:
Engelbertus Wilhelmus Roodvoets, slager, oud 24 jaren, wonende alhier in de tweede afdeeling, Oudegracht Weerdzijde 146, welke ons verklaard heeft, dat op den 15den dezer maand des avonds te half twaalf uur zijne wettige vrouw Maagje van Dijk, zonder beroep
ten zijnen huize bevallen is van een kind van het mannelijk geslacht, waaraan men geven zal de Voornamen Engelbertus Wilhelmus.
Deze verklaring gedaan in tegenwoordigheid van Johannes Gerardus Lamme, oud 24 jaren, slager, en Jan Tjabring, bode, oud 54 jaren, wonende beiden alhier, waarvan wij deze akte hebben opgemaakt en voorgelezen aan den aangever en de getuigen, die met ons
geteekend hebben.

OBITUARY.
E. W. Roodvoets, long ill, dies. [Nov. 14, 1967]
Edward W. Roodvoets, 73, of 1314 Colorado Ave, SE, founder of the E & R Sales Company here, died Monday at Butterworth Hospital after a long illness.
Born in the Netherlands, Mr. Roodvoets moved to Grand Rapids with his family when he was 11.
He was an Army veteran of World War I and founded the local coin-operated machines company in 1930.
He was a life member of the Moose and a member of the Elks.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; his daughter, Mrs. Henry (Betty) Nowak; two brothers, John and Joseph; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Scamehorn and Mrs. Alfred Joldersma, all of Grand Rapids, and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Zaagman Chapel, Rev. Henry DeMots officiating.
Burial will be in Rosedale Memorial Park.
